A year has gone by and another
Regional Contest has come along.

After several weeks of hard graft
on Darrol Barry's Prelude and
Jubilante, we were all well
rehearsed and approached the
stage with confidence.

After last years win in the Fourth
section and subsequent
promotion none of us really
understood the standard of our
new peers in the Third section.

We played with confidence and all
of us left the stage smiling and
very upbeat with the show we had
put on.

To take the title and to gain
promotion for a second
year on the trot was more
than we could have
expected but none the less
it is what we as a team have
acheieved.

A great deal of the
progress we have made
over the last 2 years is due
to the talentents of Gary
Oglesby our resident
conductor, his hard work
and diligence has enabled
the band to acheieve the
goals we are striving for
and out sincere thanks go
to him.

We had a great day and we
will continue working hard
as September, and the
National Finals will soon be
upon us.
