National Finals 2006
Welcome to the Barton Town Band
Sixth Place
After the first time the band as it stands had competed in
the Regional, the journey to Harrogate to compete
against the best bands in the country came last weekend.

We played well and came off the stage knowing we had
tried our hardest and given a good account of ourselves
in this large national arena.  52 years have passed since
Barton was last represented in the finals and to be named
the sixth best 4th section band in the UK is a great reward
for lots of hard work.

Once again may thanks to Mark Bentham and of course
Gary Oglesby for all of their hard work in prepairing the
band for the finals

2006 National Finals held at the
Harrogate International Centre
on Sunday 24th September
A special thank you to Bab's

Steve proved to us all on Sunday that he can still
get into a size 14 and was later seen searching
through the boutiques in Harrogate in a vain
attempt to find shoes and a handbag to
complement the ensemble.

Steve's dress sense never ceases to amaze and
he is now seen as the Bands answer to Kate Moss.
