Welcome to the Barton Town Band
2008
Saturday 26th April: St Georges Day Concert at St Mary's
Programme will begin at 7-30 more details to follow.
Sunday 4th May: 45 Buxton Brass Band Festival
Its an early start and only our 2nd outing in the 2nd section, but what a venue to perform Eric Ball's Resurgam
Sunday 25th May: Barton Tourism Partnership Performance in The Park (Baysgarth Park Barton)
Again the Town Band kicks of these well supported performances in the terrific park land that is Barton's Baysgarth
Park. Programme starts at 2pm.
Sunday 1st June: Freemason's Charity Fun Day (Market Rasen Race Course)
A Private Party aimed at entertaining many of Lincolnshires Disadvantaged and Less able Children
Friday 30th May: Barton Lion's Annual Beer Festival
Yes its time to dust of the Lederhosen, as its Oompah time again and the Bunken Drums will be performing in the
Lion's Beer Tent, Baysgarth Park Barton from 7-30pm.
Sunday 15th June: Burton-upon-Stather Annual Arts Week
Programme starts 3pm in the big top, Burton recreation ground
Saturday 21st June: Joint Concert with Scunthorpe Male Voice (St Lawrence's Church Scunthorpe)
The Band are all looking forward to this as its been a few years since we performed with the Male Voice, programme
starts 7-30pm
Saturday 5th July: Barton Arts Week Brass In The Church (St Mary's Church Barton)
The Band will be wrapping up this terrific week celebrating the performing arts, programme starts 7-30pm.
Friday 18th July: Pilgrim Fathers 400 year Centenary Celebration (Immingham Recreation Ground)
If you didn't know; yes they really did start their journey to the New World from this part of the world, programme starts
7-30pm.
Sunday 10th August: Summer Brass Band Concerts in Normanby Park Scunthorpe
Again another highlight in out door performances in the local parks, programme starts 1-30pm
Sunday 28th September: National Finals Harrogate
Third year on the trot, this time in the 2nd section. Richard Evans will again be administering the beatings until moral
improves.
Friday 17th & Saturday 18th October: Joint Concert with Gainsborough Operatic (Trinity Arts Centre)
This has become a very enjoyable collaboration with a quality group. Programme starts 7-30pm in the Arts Center

Saturday 22nd November: St John's Ambulance Charity Concert (City Hall Hull)
With Guest Soloist David Childs more details to follow, programme starts 7-30pm
Sunday 7th December: Worlaby Church Carol Concert
Worlaby Church is as fine a example of a Lincolnshire village church you will ever find, programme starts 6pm
Saturday 13th December: A Celebration in Brass for Christmas (St Mary's Church Barton)
This year the Town Band will be joined by the youth band in this most traditional of Christmas Concerts, programme
starts 7-30pm
Saturday 17th January: Butlins Brass Band Festival:
Our 1st outing in the 1st section.
